Late last night, Politico released a story on a leaked Supreme Court opinion draft. This draft was written by Justice Samuel Alito, a conservative member of the Court. The opinion is in regards to the Thomas v. Dobbs case originating in Mississippi, where a suit was brought regarding state legislation that prohibits an abortion after fifteen weeks of pregnancy.

Things are "a-twitter" at the home of the Blue Bird; much of it having to do with Elon Musk, his comments on a variety of issues, and a surge in followers for conservative Twitter users. On Wednesday morning, Fox News reported that Governor Ron DeSantis has garnered nearly 800,000 new followers while Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has seen her number of followers drop by nearly 21,000. Donald Trump, Jr. has also seen a surge in new followers.

President Donald Trump spoke with Fox News anchors and told them that he will not return to Twitter, regardless of a successful Twitter acquisition by Elon Musk. Trump gave lots of praise to the idea that Musk could successfully buy the social media giant, but he remarked: "The bottom line is, no, I am not going back to Twitter."

Throughout Monday, rumors that the board of directors at Twitter and Elon Musk had reached a deal regarding his proposal to buy the company for $44 billion. Late Monday afternoon, an announcement that the board had unanimously accepted his bid was made public, pending the approval of Twitter stockholders.

The latest Quinnipac poll showed that not only do many Democrats disapprove of Biden's presidency so far, but independents - often the voting block that swings elections one way or another - are very displeased with the direction of the country at present. The Nevadian Independent reports that in that state alone, hundreds are changing their party affiliation prior to primary season.
