Harvard University ranks number one with 188 billionaire alumni. In fact, this group of alumni have a combined worth of $590 billion. The Wealth-X study found that many of these billionaire alumni have a few things in common. They are chiefly self-made and highly driven. Some of these famous – and wealthy – alumni include George Kaiser, the CEO of GBK Company; Ray Dalio – the founder of Bridgewater Associates; Jorge Paulo Lemann – one of the founding partners of 3G Capital; and Steve Ballmer – former CEO of Microsoft and the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Ironically, two very wealthy Harvard dropouts are also some of the most recognizable of those who attended the Ivy League university – Mark Zuckerburg and Bill Gates.
